Built on Institutional Experience
Most consulting firms are built on binders. They show up, hand over a 200-page PDF of generic checklists, and leave you to figure out how to actually make them work. We think that’s a terrible way to protect a business, especially when that business is responsible for the systems society relies on.
For us, our leadership has spent years inside some of the most scrutinized global financial institutions, designing the very frameworks and data governance programs that keep global markets from grinding to a halt. We’ve sat across the table from regulators and lived through the high-pressure moments that most firms only read about in case studies.
Working with us means you are dealing with senior risk analysts who understand the technology risk environment and have built frameworks and architecture that works when the pressure is on.

Sarah Akpe Founder & CEO | Lead Technology Risk Senior Associate
Cloudeo was not built on a whiteboard. It was built from nine years of firsthand experience in the rooms where critical decisions are made.
Sarah’s career started in data and business analytics at the big four consulting firms, where she learned early that the gap between what organizations think their data risks are and what those risks look like in practice is often wide enough to be dangerous. That gap became the throughline of everything she has done since.
From there, her path moved into Global Systemically Important Banks (G-SIBs) whose distress or failure would trigger a severe crisis in the global financial system. At Citibank, one of the Big Four U.S. banks, operating across 144 countries with approximately 200 million customer accounts, Sarah served as a Data Governance Senior Analyst at the Assistant Vice President level. She oversaw the Master Data Management framework, implemented data quality and control standards, and worked across departments to make sure that governance was not just a policy document, but a living practice embedded in how the bank operated.
She then moved to J.P. Morgan — the largest bank in the United States, with over $4.42 trillion in assets and more than 317,000 employees globally — where she works as a Technology Risk and Controls Senior Associate within the cybersecurity team. She shapes the technology risk frameworks that the bank's leadership relies on to assess its control environment and delivers executive-level reporting that feeds directly into high-stakes decisions about the firm's security posture. In an institution where a single undetected control gap can draw regulatory consequences measured in billions, her role is not peripheral. It sits at the center of how the bank protects itself.
Outside her institutional work, Sarah has written on data governance and AI in leading publications, and she holds professional membership in DAMA-UK, the global authority for data management professionals.
She founded Cloudeo because she watched mid-market institutions: community banks, regional insurers, credit unions, critical infrastructure operators, face the same threat landscape as the giants she worked inside, without anywhere close to the same access to the expertise that could protect them. That is the problem Cloudeo exists to solve, and Sarah leads every client engagement with the same precision she developed inside institutions where getting it wrong was never an option.
